Eye Surgery
...At
present an eye specialist team from Australia is here with modern
equipment for the surgery. They have found out that a tumor is developing
on my left eye which is causing my vision not to see clearly. According
to the doctor's report, they have to do a surgery on my left eye
as early as possible, or else when I delay, my left eye will be
blinded.
Ted, the doctors
has been so kind to me since they found out the problem by given
me discount on all the medications prescribed for me to use for
the mean time. They have agreed to take care of my eyes for two
years after the surgery to see that the problem does not come again.
They will
provide me with medications for every three months, and will also
do tests on my eyes every three months to see to it that all is
well with my eyes. The overall cost of the surgery, medications
and tests for the two years guarantee will cost me a little over
$1100.00 (Eleven hundred dollars).
This is my
problem facing me now, so I am begging you to appeal to help me
go through the surgery and further treatment for my eyes.
This is an
S. O. S message to you. If I am able to get the funds, then I will
like to go through the surgery as soon as possible. Thank you for
you care and concern and kindly remember me in your prayers that
God will continue to have mercy on me. I really need your prayers.

Last Wednesday,
I went to see the doctor and have made a down payment of two million
cedis from the funds that you sent to me. I also showed them your
e-mail letters to support and affirm that I will pay the rest of
the amount. They believed me and have booked an appointment with
me to do the surgery on the 3rd of January, 2003. Kindly remember
me in your prayers, as I believe all will be well with me.

I have done
the first part of the surgery and I am going tomorrow for another
test and find out when the final one will be done. Also, I was knocked
down by a car on my motor-bike on the 12th January at about 5.30
pm. I spent one day in the hospital, but now I am feeling a little
better.
I thank you
everyone for their help. We are all doing fine and I hope you are
also doing fine. Hope to hear from you. May God bless you all.

I just came
to Accra this morning. The doctors finally performed the surgery
on my eye on 23rd January. I spent one day in the hospital. As of
now, the pains are getting less. Due to the complicated problem
that I had developed, they will like me to come in for check-ups
every month.
I really thank
you for your great help to me for the funds. I can't find words
to express my gratitude to you and the church. On my behalf, that
of my entire family and the church in Boadua, kindly extend our
appreciation and gratitude to the church and all those who contributed
to save me from going blind. May God bless you abundantly. I ask
for your prayers that I may recover fully from the surgery.
