Single file by foot path through the farms and countryside. Having breakfast before we head off for the clinic. north. A brother carrying a bundle of mosquito nets. Hundreds of mosquito nets per bundle - 3000+ distributed free during our campaign in 2007. We held the clinic under a group of trees in Pauk. Hundreds were waiting for us as usual. A girl holding her younger brother as they wait their turn. Villagers waiting patiently for us to set up. Getting the first nurses station set up. Setting up our pharmacy. We were able ti get the meds there with a 4 wheel drive pick-up and a little pushing. People picking up their presctiptions. Giving out numbers to the patients so they could be called to the nurses stations. A government nurse worked one of our stations. A millipede one of the guys happened across. People waiting to be seen. One of the men waiting. A woman who was waiting. Quansah calling the numbers and seating patients before the nurse. Megan and Trisha taking a break from the pharmacy and wound care for a water break. A young girl bringing her little brother to the clinic. Trying to count and bag meds to keep up with the line of patients waiting to get their meds. Bethany and Karen counting and packaging meds. Koji, our "chemist", filling prescriptions in the background. Renee and Rick helping bag the meds. Mother waiting with two children. Karen, Candy and Niipaak at one station. One of the little boys that Candy saw that day. Niipaak asking this mother what is wrong with her child. Candy keeping records of each patient. A little boy waiting with his mother. This boy showing signs of malnutrition. Kojo filling prescriptions. Renee, Megan and Karen counting and packaging meds. Both nurses stations stayed busy all day. A father brought his son who was seriously ill with a high fever. It takes a lot of patience to wait all day in the heat - especially when you are Getting a little rest while mom waits. Playing a little football to distract the "healthy" children. Most of our patients were mothers with young children. A mother and her children returning home with their meds and mosquito nets. Every mother with children and elderly person were given mosquito nets. I can't remember if Candy was describing a patient's condition or asking for a Kojo and the pharmacy team are the last to finish. We held the clinic til dusk. David saving photos at the end of the day. MOBILE CLINICS ...
